The SY015 batch controller links with up to 4 x 350Ω load cells to control batches by weight. This simple to use controller with full numeric keypad and a large (14mm) six digit display gives an audible tone and tactile feedback when click-touch buttons are pressed. Start and stop buttons are on the keypad as well as terminals on the back to wire in remote START and STOP buttons. RS232, RS485 and USB Comms. are available. The SY015W has a separate SY011F amplifier (giving a frequency output) and bridge excitation reference, this means that the amplifier can be sited near the load cells, resulting in low degradation of the signal as the millivolts are converted to a frequency signal. This rather novel approach to weight measurement is very effective. The excitation supply is also used as the A-D converter reference for true ratiometric measurement. A control relay with in flight compensation is included together with two mains switching set point relays rated at 10 amps. One 250V 1 amp relay to driver a contactor. Calibration is simple with intuitive real word prompts to set up calibration weights filters decimal places and comms speeds etc.( no codes that need a hand book to decipher strings of numbers) RS232 comms. options are available for printing tickets or printing direct to a PC file. All units have a viewable totaliser of amounts batched. All calibration data is stored in non volatile memory. A data logging expansion card can be factory fitted, or purchased as an add to upgrade an existing RS232 model. RS485 versions can form part of a network of instruments that could include a PC. Like all such Synectic Instruments the SY015W can be used with any serial printer detailing site details date and time target and actual quantities batched. If an additional large display is needed the RS232 can repeat the display on our SY033 units 57mm or 100mm Tall digits
